lump in belly button

Question:

hi, my baby girl is 7 months old. i've noticed a lump inside her belly button with peely skin & some discharge at the end of her naval. it doesn't cause her discomfort when i touch it. what could it be?

Because of the discharge I would recommend you go to your doctor, it may need treatment.

She had an umbilical hernia. They just put some stuff on it & it should clear up.
