when can i start feeding my baby full cream milk
Question:
hi
I have a 9 month old son that eats just about anything. he has been on solids since he was 4 months old. When can i start to give him full cream milk instead of formula.
Thanks
Catriona's Response:
Hi there
How wonderful that your son has such a good appetite! Because cows milk has very little iron, it is therefore recommended that babies remain on either formula or breast milk until 12 months. After 12 months babies can then have full fat cows milk as their milk drink. However, it is fine for babies to have cows milk in their cereal at 9 months.
All the best.
